Well then we would like to invite you to take part in our Warhammer Old World tournament.
Its' designed to be fun and less serious than tournaments usually are.
We want to encourage people to bring armies that are as whacky as possible. Rather than seeing meta lists designed for maximum efficiency, this time we want to see the lists that you normally wouldn't bring to a tournament. The crazier the idea the better, so let your imagination loose.ye
In order to make sure no one 'accidently' brings along a meta army, all lists must be emailed to simon@dicesaloonsingles.com no later than 11:59pm on 24th September 2024 for review. Any lists deemed to not be in the spirit of the tournament will be returned to the player to be altered.
Points limit: 1555
3 games - 2 hour time limit
No limits on army selection as long as it's legal. All the latest FAQs apply.
Please note we will be using a battlefield size of 60 x 44 for this event. If you need assistance calculating your army list then there is a very helpful builder here: https://old-world-builder.com/
Instead of prizes being given out on standings store credit will be awarded for the following categories:
Softest army - which of your opponents armies died the easiest
Most sporting - Your most graceful opponent (win or lose)
The Ill fated General - Your opponent with the worse luck
These will be voted on by the players.
Schedule:
10am: Muster - player meeting
10:15am: 1st Battle
12:15pm: Time for rations
12:45pm: 2nd Battle
3pm: 3rd Battle
5pm: 'Winners' ceremony
Food & Drink:
Food and/or refreshments NOT purchased onsite are NOT permitted at this event, with the exception of water bottles and hot food where a surcharge of £3.50 has been paid at the cafe. We have an onsite cafe, which provides a range of food and drink available for purchase on the day, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Anyone found to be bringing outside food and drink into the event may be asked to leave.
Refund Policy:
If you need to cancel your ticket then a full refund will be given if we are notified 7 days before the start of the event.
If less than 7 days, the cost of your ticket will only be refunded if we are able to re-sell your ticket.
Tickets are non transferable. Please do not purchase your tickets from someone else. We have had issues of people selling fake tickets for our popular events.
